Syracuse University offers a caring community for those with a commitment to personal faith. With an open mind toward all faiths, religious life at SU demonstrates the University's appreciation of diversity.
Hendricks Chapel serves as the University's religious and spiritual core. Hendricks celebrates the teachings of Baha'I, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Zen Buddhism, just to name a few. You may also want to explore the Winnick Hillel Center or the Alibrandi Catholic Center.
Numerous ceremonies take place in Hendricks, from daily worship to wedding and commitment ceremonies. Students are welcome to explore the options Hendricks has to offer, whether you wish to celebrate your own faith, explore a new faith, or learn more about the faith of others.
Students are also invited to participate in the music and art programs at Hendricks Chapel including hand bell ringing, choir, and poetry reading.
For students wishing to be involved in an exploration of their own faith while also learning about the perspectives of others, Syracuse University offers an Interfaith Learning Community.
