The “GI Bill” of 1944 was one of the nation’s most significant pieces of legislation and no university was more closely identified with it than Syracuse University. The bill drew on SU’s “can do” spirit and paved the way for future programs, such as the Institute of Veterans and Military Families (IVMF).
